Overview - History

Banco Comercial Português, founded in June 1985 following the deregulation of the Portuguese banking industry, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010. Its life to date has been a success story, in which the Bank became a leader in the Portuguese market and a renowned institution in various foreign markets, where it operates under the Millennium brand.

The growth of BCP catalyzed the development of the Portuguese banking system, which became one of the most developed and innovative in Europe, and was accomplished over different expansion stages:
